Executive President Candidates
Hayden CrockerMy name is Hayden Crocker and I'm running to be your ASB executive president for the 2024-2025 school year. I have been in ASB since my freshman year, previously serving as freshman and sophomore class president. I planned successful events such as Sophomore Skate Night, Sophomore Neon Night, Sophomore Sweets, Sophomore Kickoff, and Freshman Cookie Friday. As your ASB president, my number one priority is to increase school spirit on campus through creative dress up days, fun pep rallies, and higher turnout at sports games. My second priority is to increase collaboration between ASB and student groups on campus through increased joint media campaigns, CCATV and conservatory collaboration, and accessibility and opportunities for student businesses in the spring. I want to introduce a program between CCA ASB and the CCA Foundation to waive extracurricular registration fees for students with financial need to make sure extracurricular activities are accessible to all students. Lastly, I want to update our student store merch with your input to include new high quality designs and simple graphic hoodies in collaboration with our outreach committee. Feel free to come up to me during election week to grab a croc keychain and support. Follow the flock and vote for crock!

Aeden HencklesHey CCA! My name is Aedan Henckels and I’m super excited to be running for Executive President! This year, as your Junior President, I’ve made events and impacts based on YOUR voice, as I’ve been doing for the last few years, including laser tag, a padres game, and homeroom improvements. If you bring me back as your president next year, I guarantee your voice and needs will be heard, and that you’ll see more real impacts for what really matters, as well as helping ASB throw some of the best student events in CCA history. Don’t break your ankles, vote for Henckels!

Executive Vice-President Candidates
Hayden ChangI’m Hayden and I’m running for Executive VP! To keep it brief, if I am elected I will: 1. Prioritize free food at events, 2. Collaborate with admin to open a student lounge in the Nest, 3. Create noticeable improvement in homeroom based on what students want, and 4. Generate funding for our arts and sports programs through Foundation to pay for registration fees and experiences (ex. attending local sports games, art shows, concerts, and film festivals). With my experience raising over $2000 in revenue for the Class of 2025, committing to previous campaign goals like more free food at events, and representing my grade in homeroom committee and student senate during my three years as vice president of the Class of 2025, I will enact the goals listed above and actually represent what you want.

Cori YoungHi CCA! My name is Cori Young and I am so grateful and excited to be running for your 2024-25 Executive VP. As the current Arts Commissioner, putting on events such as the recent Battle of the Bands, Music Mondays, etc. has given me skills to lead a team and really listen to the wants and needs of the student body through the events we put on, and I plan to continue to do that no matter what happens in this election. As a publicity enthusiast, being the Executive Vice President would give me the opportunity to make sure that the publicity you put up around campus is seen loud and clear, without being overshadowed, as well as offer you posters made by myself or other ASB members if you or your club requests it for your event. Along with being in ASB, I am also a part of ETA Conservatory here at CCA, being in the many productions CCA puts on as an actor as well as serving as dance captain for multiple shows. This shows my ability to both lead and follow, because the two work in tandem. I believe that with these various skills and experiences, I will be able to better prepare my fellow ASB members with the skills they need, so that we can listen to and highlight your voices through the activities/events we put on as well as the changes we make around campus. With all that said, I hope you say “Yuh” for Young!

Joshua SuenI have worked in leadership positions in many different clubs and organizations dedicated to positive change and education at CCA. As a volunteer tutor and the nonprofit organization LearntoBe, I have continued to develop my communication skills and openness to constructive criticism. These experiences have provided me with tools that can address issues within our school and create a more positive environment for my peers. As Junior President, I will promote more advocacy and change within our campus community by facilitating more communication between students and the administration. The first step to any change is respectful discussion; it’s essential for students to have a platform to feel free to address concerns in our school community if any improvements are to be made. Sophomore Vice-President Candidates
Jaz Damineni“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” - Aristotle
For our entire life on this planet, each of us has gone through experiences that shape our character and story. Through the sport volleyball in varsity and club, I deepened my roots in qualities like communication, resilience, teamwork, and mental toughness. Through dance and music, I experienced the beauty of art and creativity. Through tutoring, raising money for a cause, and volunteering with food banks and local distributions I learned the power of compassion. With these qualities and experiences I believe together we can create a tight-knit, strong-willed, and exciting sophomore and school community. |
Marcus HammiMy name is Marcus Hammi and I am running for the Sophomore Class Vice President position to make it my mission to reach out to all my classmates, act as their voice, and to liaison between them and the ASB. As a member of ASB this freshman year, a JV lacrosse player, a treasurer of the stronger together club, as well as a member of the No Place for Hate Committee and various other clubs on campus, I have been able to build incredible friendships with other students and to enhance my classmates’ experiences at CCA by encouraging them to attend school events and to stay involved. I have also gained leadership skills that will help me excel as a VP for the class of 2027. I am committed to working hard to advocate for my peers’ interests, to promote school spirit, and to make the school year an enjoyable experience for every student at CCA. Vote Marcus Hammi to be the Sophomore Class Vice President if you want leadership that prioritizes you!
